40 Allí encontraron pastos abundantes y buenos, y la tierra era espaciosa, tranquila y reposada, porque los que habitaban antes allí eran los de Cam(A). 41 Estos, registrados por nombre(B), llegaron en los días de Ezequías, rey de Judá, y atacaron[a] sus tiendas y a los meunitas que se encontraban allí, y los destruyeron completamente hasta el día de hoy, y habitaron en su lugar, porque allí había pastos para sus ganados. 42 Y de ellos, de los hijos de Simeón, 500 hombres fueron al monte Seir(C), con Pelatías, Nearías, Refaías y Uziel, hijos de Isi, como sus jefes.

40 And they found rich, good pasture, and the land was broad, quiet, and peaceful; for some Hamites formerly lived there.
41 These recorded by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah; and they (A)attacked[a] their tents and the Meunites who were found there, and (B)utterly destroyed them, as it is to this day. So they dwelt in their place, because there was pasture for their flocks there. 42 Now some of them, five hundred men of the sons of Simeon, went to Mount Seir, having as their captains Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel, the sons of Ishi.
