2 De derde zoon was Absalom. Zijn moeder was Maächa, een dochter van koning Talmai van Gesur.
De vierde zoon was Adonia. Zijn moeder was Haggit.
3 De vijfde zoon was Sefatja. Zijn moeder was Abital.
De zesde zoon was Jitream. Zijn moeder was Egla, een andere vrouw van David.
4 David regeerde zeven jaar en zes maanden in Hebron. In die tijd kreeg hij zes zonen. Daarna regeerde hij 33 jaar in Jeruzalem.
