祭司的班次
24 亚伦子孙的班次如下：亚伦的儿子是拿答、亚比户、以利亚撒和以他玛。 2 拿答和亚比户比他们的父亲早死，又没有儿子；所以以利亚撒和以他玛作了祭司。 3 大卫和以利亚撒的子孙撒督，以及以他玛的子孙亚希米勒，把他们的亲族分开班次，按着他们的职责服事。 4 后来发现以利亚撒的子孙中，比以他玛的子孙有更多作首领的，就把他们分开班次；以利亚撒子孙中作首领的，按着他们的家族有十六人；以他玛子孙中作首领的，按着他们的家族有八人。 5 以抽签的方式平均地把他们分开，因为在以利亚撒的子孙中和以他玛的子孙中都有人在圣所作领袖，以及在 神面前作领袖。 6 作书记的利未人拿坦业的儿子示玛雅，在君王、领袖、撒督祭司、亚比亚他的儿子亚希米勒，以及众祭司家族和利未家族的首领面前，把他们的名字记录下来。在以利亚撒的子孙中，有一家族被选取了；在以他玛的子孙中，也有一家族被选取了。
7 第一签抽出来的是耶何雅立，第二签是耶大雅， 8 第三签是哈琳，第四签是梭琳， 9 第五签是玛基雅，第六签是米雅民， 10 第七签是哈歌斯，第八签是亚比雅， 11 第九签是耶书亚，第十签是示迦尼， 12 第十一签是以利亚实，第十二签是雅金， 13 第十三签是胡巴，第十四签是耶是比押， 14 第十五签是璧迦，第十六签是音麦， 15 第十七签是希悉，第十八签是哈辟悉， 16 第十九签是毘他希雅，第二十签是以西结， 17 第二十一签是雅斤，第二十二签是迦末， 18 第二十三签是第来雅，第二十四签是玛西亚。 19 这就是他们的班次，是照着耶和华以色列的 神借着他们的祖宗亚伦所吩咐的条例，进入耶和华的殿，办理事务。
利未其他子孙的职务
20 利未还有其他子孙：暗兰的子孙中有书巴业；书巴业的子孙中有耶希底亚。 21 至于利哈比雅：利哈比雅的众子中，长子是伊示雅。 22 以斯哈的众子中有示罗摩；示罗摩的众子中有雅哈。 23 希伯伦的儿子是：长子耶利雅（按照《马索拉文本》，“希伯伦的儿子是：长子耶利雅”作“耶利雅的儿子：”；现参照《七十士译本》的一些抄本和两份希伯来文抄本翻译；参代上23:19）、次子亚玛利亚、三子雅哈悉、四子耶加面。 24 乌薛的众子中有米迦；米迦的众子中有沙密。 25 米迦的兄弟是耶西雅；耶西雅的众子中有撒迦利雅。 26 米拉利的儿子是抹利、母示、雅西雅；雅西雅的儿子是比挪。 27 米拉利的众子中有雅西雅的儿子比挪、朔含、撒刻和伊比利。 28 抹利的儿子是以利亚撒；以利亚撒没有儿子。 29 至于基士：基士的众子中有耶拉篾。 30 母示的儿子是末力、以得和耶利摩；以上这些都是利未的子孙，按着他们的家族记录。 31 他们在大卫王、撒督、亚希米勒，以及祭司和利未人的家族首领面前也抽了签，好象他们的亲族亚伦的子孙一样；各家族首领和他们年幼的兄弟都一样抽了签。
大卫设立唱歌的人
25 大卫和军队的领袖，也给亚萨、希幔和耶杜顿的子孙分派了任务，叫他们用琴瑟响钹说预言。他们任职的人数如下： 2 亚萨的儿子有撒刻、约瑟、尼探雅和亚萨利拉；亚萨的儿子都归亚萨指挥，遵照王的旨意说预言。 3 至于耶杜顿，他的儿子有基大利、西利、耶筛亚、示每、哈沙比雅和玛他提雅，共六人，都归他们
的父亲耶杜顿指挥。耶杜顿用琴说预言，称谢和赞美耶和华。 4 至于希幔，他的儿子有布基雅、玛探雅、乌薛、细布业、耶利摩、哈拿尼雅、哈拿尼、以利亚他、基大利提、罗幔提．以谢、约施比加沙、玛罗提、何提和玛哈秀。 5 这些人都是希幔的儿子；希幔是王的先见，照着 神的话高举他（“高举他”原文作“高举角”）。 神赐给希幔十四个儿子，三个女儿。 6 这些人都归他们的父亲指挥，在耶和华的殿里歌颂，用响钹和琴瑟在 神的殿事奉。亚萨、耶杜顿和希幔都是由王指挥的。 7 他们和他们的亲族，在歌颂耶和华的事上受过特别训练，精于歌唱的，人数共有二百八十八人。 8 这些人，无论大小，不分师生，都一同抽签分班次。

The Divisions of Priests
24 These were the divisions(A) of the descendants of Aaron:(B)
The sons of Aaron were Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.(C) 2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father did,(D) and they had no sons; so Eleazar and Ithamar served as the priests. 3 With the help of Zadok(E) a descendant of Eleazar and Ahimelek a descendant of Ithamar, David separated them into divisions for their appointed order of ministering. 4 A larger number of leaders were found among Eleazar’s descendants than among Ithamar’s, and they were divided accordingly: sixteen heads of families from Eleazar’s descendants and eight heads of families from Ithamar’s descendants. 5 They divided them impartially by casting lots,(F) for there were officials of the sanctuary and officials of God among the descendants of both Eleazar and Ithamar.
6 The scribe Shemaiah son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded their names in the presence of the king and of the officials: Zadok the priest, Ahimelek(G) son of Abiathar and the heads of families of the priests and of the Levites—one family being taken from Eleazar and then one from Ithamar.

the second to Jedaiah,(H)
8 the third to Harim,(I)
the fourth to Seorim,
9 the fifth to Malkijah,
the sixth to Mijamin,
10 the seventh to Hakkoz,
the eighth to Abijah,(J)
11 the ninth to Jeshua,
the tenth to Shekaniah,
12 the eleventh to Eliashib,
the twelfth to Jakim,
13 the thirteenth to Huppah,
the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,
14 the fifteenth to Bilgah,
the sixteenth to Immer,(K)
15 the seventeenth to Hezir,(L)
the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah,
the twentieth to Jehezkel,
17 the twenty-first to Jakin,
the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 the twenty-third to Delaiah
and the twenty-fourth to Maaziah.
19 This was their appointed order of ministering when they entered the temple of the Lord, according to the regulations prescribed for them by their ancestor Aaron, as the Lord, the God of Israel, had commanded him.
The Rest of the Levites
20 As for the rest of the descendants of Levi:(M)
from the sons of Amram: Shubael;
from the sons of Shubael: Jehdeiah.
21 As for Rehabiah,(N) from his sons:
Ishiah was the first.
22 From the Izharites: Shelomoth;
from the sons of Shelomoth: Jahath.
23 The sons of Hebron:(O) Jeriah the first,[a] Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third and Jekameam the fourth.
24 The son of Uzziel: Micah;
from the sons of Micah: Shamir.
25 The brother of Micah: Ishiah;
from the sons of Ishiah: Zechariah.
26 The sons of Merari:(P) Mahli and Mushi.
The son of Jaaziah: Beno.
27 The sons of Merari:
from Jaaziah: Beno, Shoham, Zakkur and Ibri.
28 From Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.
29 From Kish: the son of Kish:
Jerahmeel.
30 And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder and Jerimoth.
These were the Levites, according to their families. 31 They also cast lots,(Q) just as their relatives the descendants of Aaron did, in the presence of King David and of Zadok, Ahimelek, and the heads of families of the priests and of the Levites. The families of the oldest brother were treated the same as those of the youngest.
The Musicians
25 David, together with the commanders of the army, set apart some of the sons of Asaph,(R) Heman(S) and Jeduthun(T) for the ministry of prophesying,(U) accompanied by harps, lyres and cymbals.(V) Here is the list of the men(W) who performed this service:(X)
2 From the sons of Asaph:
Zakkur, Joseph, Nethaniah and Asarelah. The sons of Asaph were under the supervision of Asaph, who prophesied under the king’s supervision.
3 As for Jeduthun, from his sons:(Y)
Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei,[b] Hashabiah and Mattithiah, six in all, under the supervision of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied, using the harp(Z) in thanking and praising the Lord.
4 As for Heman, from his sons:
Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shubael and Jerimoth; Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti and Romamti-Ezer; Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir and Mahazioth. 5 (All these were sons of Heman the king’s seer. They were given him through the promises of God to exalt him. God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.)
6 All these men were under the supervision of their father(AA) for the music of the temple of the Lord, with cymbals, lyres and harps, for the ministry at the house of God.
Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman(AB) were under the supervision of the king.(AC) 7 Along with their relatives—all of them trained and skilled in music for the Lord—they numbered 288. 8 Young and old alike, teacher as well as student, cast lots(AD) for their duties.
