2 (A)These were the sons of Israel: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, 2 Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
3 (B)The sons of Judah were Er, Onan, and Shelah; these three were born to him by Bath-shua the Canaanitess. But Er, Judah’s firstborn, was evil in the sight of the Lord, so He put him to death. 4 (C)His daughter-in-law Tamar bore him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all.
5 The sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul. 6 The sons of Zerah were [a]Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and [b]Dara; five of them in all. 7 The [c]son of Carmi was [d](D)Achar, the one who brought disaster on Israel [e]by violating the [f]ban. 8 The [g]son of Ethan was Azariah.
Genealogy of David
9 Now the sons of Hezron who were born to him were Jerahmeel, Ram, and Chelubai. 10 Ram fathered Amminadab, and Amminadab fathered Nahshon, leader of the sons of Judah; 11 Nahshon fathered Salma, Salma fathered Boaz, 12 Boaz fathered Obed, and Obed fathered Jesse; 13 and Jesse fathered Eliab his firstborn, then Abinadab, the second, [h]Shimea, the third, 14 Nethanel, the fourth, Raddai, the fifth, 15 Ozem, the sixth, and David, the seventh. 16 Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. And the three sons of Zeruiah were [i]Abshai, Joab, and Asahel. 17 Abigail gave birth to Amasa, and the father of Amasa was [j]Jether the Ishmaelite.
18 Now Caleb the son of Hezron had sons by Azubah his wife, and by Jerioth; and these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. 19 When Azubah died, Caleb married Ephrath, who bore to him Hur. 20 Hur fathered Uri, and Uri fathered Bezalel.
21 Later, Hezron had relations with the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore to him Segub. 22 Segub fathered Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. 23 But Geshur and Aram took [k]the villages of Jair from them, with Kenath and its villages, sixty settlements. All of these were the sons of Machir, the father of Gilead. 24 After the death of Hezron in Caleb-ephrathah, Abijah, Hezron’s wife, bore to him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.
25 Now the sons of Jerahmeel, the firstborn of Hezron, were Ram the firstborn, then Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. 26 Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam. 27 The sons of Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel, were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker. 28 The sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. And the sons of Shammai were Nadab and Abishur. 29 The name of Abishur’s wife was Abihail, and she bore to him Ahban and Molid. 30 The sons of Nadab were Seled and Appaim, and Seled died without sons. 31 The [l]son of Appaim was Ishi. And the [m]son of Ishi was Sheshan, and the [n]son of Sheshan, Ahlai. 32 The sons of Jada the brother of Shammai were Jether and Jonathan, and Jether died without sons. 33 The sons of Jonathan were Peleth and Zaza. These were the [o]descendants of Jerahmeel. 34 Now Sheshan had no sons, only daughters. Sheshan also had an Egyptian servant, whose name was Jarha. 35 Sheshan gave his daughter to his servant Jarha in marriage, and she bore to him Attai. 36 Attai fathered Nathan, Nathan fathered Zabad, 37 Zabad fathered Ephlal, Ephlal fathered Obed, 38 Obed fathered Jehu, Jehu fathered Azariah, 39 Azariah fathered Helez, Helez fathered Eleasah, 40 Eleasah fathered Sismai, Sismai fathered Shallum, 41 Shallum fathered Jekamiah, and Jekamiah fathered Elishama.
42 Now the sons of Caleb, the brother of Jerahmeel, were Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph; and [p]his son was Mareshah, the father of Hebron. 43 The sons of Hebron were Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema. 44 Shema fathered Raham, the father of Jorkeam; and Rekem fathered Shammai. 45 The son of Shammai was Maon, and Maon was the father of Bethzur. 46 Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, gave birth to Haran, Moza, and Gazez; and Haran fathered Gazez. 47 The sons of Jahdai were Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph. 48 Maacah, Caleb’s concubine, gave birth to Sheber and Tirhanah. 49 She also gave birth to Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbena and the father of Gibea; and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah. 50 These were the sons of Caleb.
The [q]sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, were Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim, 51 Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth-gader. 52 Shobal the father of Kiriath-jearim had sons: Haroeh, half of the Manahathites, 53 and the families of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; from these came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites. 54 The sons of Salma were Bethlehem and the Netophathites, Atroth-beth-joab, and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites. 55 The families of scribes who lived at Jabez were the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Sucathites. Those are the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.

Die Judas
3 Die Söhne Judas: Ger, Onan und Schela; die drei wurden ihm geboren von der Tochter Schuas, der Kanaaniterin. Und Ger, der Erstgeborene, war böse in den Augen des Herrn, darum tötete er ihn. 4 Und Tamar, seine Schwiegertochter, gebar ihm Perez und Serach, so daß Juda im ganzen fünf Söhne hatte.
5 Die Söhne des Perez: Chezron und Chamul.
6 Und die Söhne Serachs: Simri und Etan und Heman und Kalkol und Dara, zusammen fünf. 7 Und die Söhne Karmis: Achar[a], welcher Israel ins Unglück brachte, weil er sich vergriff an dem, was dem Banne verfallen war. 8 Und die Söhne Etans: Asarja.
9 Und die Söhne Chezrons, die ihm geboren wurden: Jerachmeel, Ram und Kelubai[b].
10 Und Ram zeugte Amminadab, und Amminadab zeugte Nachschon, den Fürsten der Kinder Judas. 11 Und Nachschon zeugte Salma, Salma zeugte Boas. 12 Boas zeugte Obed, Obed zeugte Isai, 13 Isai zeugte seinen Erstgeborenen Eliab und Abinadab, den zweiten [Sohn], und Schimea, den dritten, 14 Netaneel, den vierten, Raddai, den fünften, 15 Ozem, den sechsten, David, den siebenten. 16 Und ihre Schwestern waren: Zeruja und Abigail. Und die Söhne der Zeruja: Abisai und Joab und Asahel, ihrer drei. 17 Und Abigail gebar Amasa, und der Vater Amasas war Jeter, der Ismaeliter.
Kaleb,der Sohn Chezrons
18 Und Kaleb, der Sohn Chezrons, zeugte mit Asuba, seinem Weibe, und mit Jeriot; und das sind ihre Söhne: Jescher und Schobab und Ardon. 19 Und Asuba starb, und Kaleb nahm sich Ephrat, und sie gebar ihm Chur. 20 Und Chur zeugte Uri, und Uri zeugte Bezaleel.
21 Und danach ging Chezron ein zu der Tochter Machirs, des Vaters Gileads, und heiratete sie, als er sechzig Jahre alt war; und sie gebar ihm Segub. 22 Und Segub zeugte Jair; der hatte dreiundzwanzig Städte im Lande Gilead; 23 aber die Geschuriter und Aramäer nahmen ihnen die Dörfer Jairs weg, Kenat und seine Nebenorte, sechzig Städte. Alle diese sind Söhne Machirs, des Vaters Gileads. 24 Und nachdem Chezron gestorben war zu Kaleb-Ephrata, gebar ihm Abija, das Weib Chezrons, Aschchur, den Vater Tekoas.
25 Und die Söhne Jerachmeels, des Erstgeborenen Chezrons, waren: der Erstgeborene Ram, sodann Buna und Oren und Ozem von Achija. 26 Und Jerachmeel hatte ein anderes Weib, ihr Name war Atara; diese ist die Mutter Onams. 27 Und die Söhne Rams, des Erstgeborenen Jerachmeels, waren: Maaz und Jamin und Eker. 28 Und die Söhne Onams: Schammai und Jada. Und die Söhne Schammais: Nadab und Abischur. 29 Und der Name des Weibes Abischurs war Abichail, und sie gebar ihm Achban und Molid. 30 Und die Söhne Nadabs: Seled und Appaim. Seled aber starb ohne Söhne. 31 Und die Söhne Appaims waren: Jischi. Und die Söhne Jischis: Scheschan. Und die Söhne Scheschans: Achlai. 32 Und die Söhne Jadas, des Bruders Schammais: Jeter und Jonatan. 33 Und Jeter starb ohne Söhne. Und die Söhne Jonatans: Pelet und Sasa. - Das waren die Söhne Jerachmeels.
34 Und Scheschan hatte keine Söhne, sondern nur Töchter. Scheschan hatte einen ägyptischen Knecht, namens Jarcha. 35 Und Scheschan gab Jarcha, seinem Knechte, seine Tochter zum Weibe, und sie gebar ihm Attai. 36 Und Attai zeugte Natan, und Natan zeugte Sabad, 37 und Sabad zeugte Ephlal, und Ephlal zeugte Obed, 38 und Obed zeugte Jehu,
39 und Jehu zeuge Asarja, und Asarja zeuge Chelez, Chelez zeugte Elasa, Elasa zeugte Sismai, 40 Sismai zeuge Schallum, 41 Schallum zeugte Jekamia, Jekamia zeugte Elischama.
Der Stamm Kalebs
42 Und die Söhne Kalebs, des Bruders Jerachmeels, waren: Mescha, sein Erstgeborener, der ist der Vater Siphs; und die Söhne Mareschas, des Vaters Hebrons. 43 Und die Söhne Hebrons: Korah und Thappuach und Rekem und Schema. 44 Und Schema zeugte Racham, den Vater Jorkeams, und Rekem zeugte Schammai. 45 und der Sohn Schammais war Maon, und Maon war der Vater Betzurs. 46 Und Epha, die Nebenfrau Kalebs, gebar Charan und Moza und Gases. Und Charan zeugte Gases. 47 Und die Söhne Jahdais: Regem, Jotam, Gescham, Pelet, Epha und Schaaph.
48 Die Nebenfrau Kalebs, Maacha, gebar Scheber und Thirchana; 49 und sie gebar Schaaph, den Vater Madmannas, Schewa, den Vater Machbenas und den Vater Gibeas. Und die Tochter Kalebs war Achsa.
50 Das waren die Söhne Kalebs: die Söhne Churs, des Erstgeborenen von Ephrata, waren Schobal, der Vater von Kirjat-Jearim, 51 Salma, der Vater von Bethlehem, Chareph, der Vater von Beth-Gader. 52 Und die Söhne Schobals, des Vaters von Kirjat-Jearim, waren: Haroe, Chazi, Menuchot. 53 Und die Geschlechter von Kirjat-Jearim sind: die Jitriter und die Putiter und die Schumatiter und die Mischraiter; von diesen sind ausgegangen die Zoratiter und die Eschtauliter. 54 Die Söhne Salmas: Bethlehem und die Netophatiter, Aterot-Beth-Joab und die Hälfte der Manachtiter, die Zoriter; 55 und die Geschlechter der Schreiber, der Bewohner von Jabez: die Tiratiter, die Schimatiter, die Suchatiter. Das sind die Keniter, die von Chammat, dem Vater des Hauses Rechab, abstammen.

3 The sons of Judah:(C)
Er, Onan and Shelah.(D) These three were born to him by a Canaanite woman, the daughter of Shua.(E) Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the Lord’s sight; so the Lord put him to death.(F) 4 Judah’s daughter-in-law(G) Tamar(H) bore Perez(I) and Zerah to Judah. He had five sons in all.
5 The sons of Perez:(J)
Hezron(K) and Hamul.
6 The sons of Zerah:
Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Kalkol and Darda[a]—five in all.
7 The son of Karmi:
Achar,[b](L) who brought trouble on Israel by violating the ban on taking devoted things.[c](M)

Azariah.

10 Ram(O) was the father of
Amminadab(P), and Amminadab the father of Nahshon,(Q) the leader of the people of Judah. 11 Nahshon was the father of Salmon,[e] Salmon the father of Boaz, 12 Boaz(R) the father of Obed and Obed the father of Jesse.(S)
13 Jesse(T) was the father of
Eliab(U) his firstborn; the second son was Abinadab, the third Shimea, 14 the fourth Nethanel, the fifth Raddai, 15 the sixth Ozem and the seventh David. 16 Their sisters were Zeruiah(V) and Abigail. Zeruiah’s(W) three sons were Abishai, Joab(X) and Asahel. 17 Abigail was the mother of Amasa,(Y) whose father was Jether the Ishmaelite.
Caleb Son of Hezron
18 Caleb son of Hezron had children by his wife Azubah (and by Jerioth). These were her sons: Jesher, Shobab and Ardon. 19 When Azubah died, Caleb(Z) married Ephrath, who bore him Hur. 20 Hur was the father of Uri, and Uri the father of Bezalel.(AA)
21 Later, Hezron, when he was sixty years old, married the daughter of Makir the father of Gilead.(AB) He made love to her, and she bore him Segub. 22 Segub was the father of Jair, who controlled twenty-three towns in Gilead. 23 (But Geshur and Aram captured Havvoth Jair,[f](AC) as well as Kenath(AD) with its surrounding settlements—sixty towns.) All these were descendants of Makir the father of Gilead.
24 After Hezron died in Caleb Ephrathah, Abijah the wife of Hezron bore him Ashhur(AE) the father[g] of Tekoa.
Jerahmeel Son of Hezron
25 The sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron:
Ram his firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem and[h] Ahijah. 26 Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.
27 The sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel:
Maaz, Jamin and Eker.
28 The sons of Onam:
Shammai and Jada.
The sons of Shammai:
Nadab and Abishur.
29 Abishur’s wife was named Abihail, who bore him Ahban and Molid.
30 The sons of Nadab:
Seled and Appaim. Seled died without children.
31 The son of Appaim:
Ishi, who was the father of Sheshan.
Sheshan was the father of Ahlai.
32 The sons of Jada, Shammai’s brother:
Jether and Jonathan. Jether died without children.
33 The sons of Jonathan:
Peleth and Zaza.
These were the descendants of Jerahmeel.
34 Sheshan had no sons—only daughters.
He had an Egyptian servant named Jarha. 35 Sheshan gave his daughter in marriage to his servant Jarha, and she bore him Attai.

The Clans of Caleb
42 The sons of Caleb(AG) the brother of Jerahmeel:
Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and his son Mareshah,[i] who was the father of Hebron.
43 The sons of Hebron:
Korah, Tappuah, Rekem and Shema. 44 Shema was the father of Raham, and Raham the father of Jorkeam. Rekem was the father of Shammai. 45 The son of Shammai was Maon(AH), and Maon was the father of Beth Zur.(AI)
46 Caleb’s concubine Ephah was the mother of Haran, Moza and Gazez. Haran was the father of Gazez.
47 The sons of Jahdai:
Regem, Jotham, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah and Shaaph.
48 Caleb’s concubine Maakah was the mother of Sheber and Tirhanah. 49 She also gave birth to Shaaph the father of Madmannah(AJ) and to Sheva the father of Makbenah and Gibea. Caleb’s daughter was Aksah.(AK) 50 These were the descendants of Caleb.
The sons of Hur(AL) the firstborn of Ephrathah:
Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim,(AM) 51 Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader.
52 The descendants of Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim were:
Haroeh, half the Manahathites, 53 and the clans of Kiriath Jearim: the Ithrites,(AN) Puthites, Shumathites and Mishraites. From these descended the Zorathites and Eshtaolites.
54 The descendants of Salma:
Bethlehem, the Netophathites,(AO) Atroth Beth Joab, half the Manahathites, the Zorites, 55 and the clans of scribes[j] who lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, Shimeathites and Sucathites. These are the Kenites(AP) who came from Hammath,(AQ) the father of the Rekabites.[k](AR)
