⁷The son of Carmi was Achar, that troubled Israel, and sinned in the theft of (the) thing hallowed to the Lord.

⁸The son of Ethan was Azariah.

⁹And the sons of Hezron, that were born to him, were Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

⁷The son of Karmi:

Achar,^[a]^(A) who brought trouble on Israel by violating the ban on taking devoted things.^[b]^(B)

⁸The son of Ethan:

Azariah.

⁹The sons born to Hezron^(C) were:

Jerahmeel, Ram and Caleb.^[c]
