3 And let us bring back the Ark of our God, for we have been neglecting it ever since Saul became king.”
4 There was unanimous consent, for everyone agreed with him. 5 So David summoned the people of Israel from all across the nation[a] so that they could be present when the Ark of God was brought from Kiriath-jearim.

5 So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjathjearim.

3 Let us bring the ark of our God back to us,(A) for we did not inquire(B) of[a] it[b] during the reign of Saul.” 4 The whole assembly agreed to do this, because it seemed right to all the people.
5 So David assembled all Israel,(C) from the Shihor River(D) in Egypt to Lebo Hamath,(E) to bring the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim.(F)
