22 Cada dia aumentava o número dos que se juntavam a David, de tal maneira que se formou um tremendo exército; era como um exército de Deus.

23 Eis o registo dos que vieram a David em Hebrom. Todos estavam ansiosos por ver David tornar-se rei em lugar de Saul, tal como o Senhor dissera que haveria de acontecer.
24 De Judá, 6800 homens armados com escudo e com lança.

23 预备作战的首领来到希伯仑见大卫，要照着耶和华的命令把扫罗的国位转归大卫，他们的数目如下： 24 犹大支派的子孙拿盾牌和长枪的，共有六千八百人，都预备好作战。

22 For at that time day by day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.
23 And these are the numbers of the bands that were ready armed to the war, and came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the Lord.
24 The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, ready armed to the war.
