1 Adam,(A) Seth, Enosh,
2 Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared,
3 Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech,
4 Noah, Noah’s sons:[a]
Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
5 Japheth’s(B) sons: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
6 Gomer’s sons: Ashkenaz, Riphath,[b] and Togarmah.
7 Javan’s sons: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.[c]
8 Ham’s sons: Cush, Mizraim,[d] Put, and Canaan.
9 Cush’s sons: Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raama, and Sabteca.
Raama’s sons: Sheba and Dedan.
10 Cush fathered Nimrod, who was the first to become a great warrior on earth.
11 Mizraim(C) fathered the people of Lud, Anam, Lehab, Naphtuh, 12 Pathrus, Casluh (the Philistines came from them), and Caphtor.(D)
13 Canaan fathered Sidon as his firstborn and Heth, 14 as well as the Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites, 15 Hivites, Arkites, Sinites, 16 Arvadites, Zemarites, and Hamathites.
17 Shem’s(E) sons: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech.
18 Arpachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber. 19 Two sons were born to Eber. One of them was named Peleg[e] because the earth was divided during his lifetime, and the name of his brother was Joktan. 20 Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 21 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 22 Ebal, Abimael, Sheba, 23 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All of these were Joktan’s sons.
24 Shem,(F) Arpachshad, Shelah,
25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,
27 and Abram (that is, Abraham).
Abraham’s Descendants
28 Abraham’s sons: Isaac and Ishmael.
29 These(G) are their family records: Nebaioth, Ishmael’s firstborn, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, 30 Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema, 31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.
These were Ishmael’s sons.
32 The sons(H) born to Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.
Jokshan’s sons: Sheba and Dedan.
33 Midian’s sons: Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah.
All of these were Keturah’s descendants.
34 Abraham(I) fathered Isaac.
Isaac’s sons: Esau and Israel.(J)
35 Esau’s(K) sons: Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.
36 Eliphaz’s sons: Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatam, and Kenaz; and by Timna, Amalek.[f]
37 Reuel’s sons: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
The Edomites
38 Seir’s(L) sons: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan.
39 Lotan’s sons: Hori and Homam. Timna was Lotan’s sister.
40 Shobal’s sons: Alian, Manahath, Ebal, Shephi, and Onam.
Zibeon’s sons: Aiah and Anah.
41 Anah’s son: Dishon.
Dishon’s sons: Hamran, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.
42 Ezer’s sons: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Jaakan.
Dishan’s sons: Uz and Aran.
43 These(M) were the kings who reigned in the land of Edom
before any king reigned over the Israelites:
Bela son of Beor.
Bela’s town was named Dinhabah.
44 When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah(N) reigned in his place.
45 When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites(O) reigned in his place.
46 When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the territory of Moab, reigned in his place.
Hadad’s town was named Avith.
47 When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place.
48 When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the River Euphrates reigned in his place.
49 When Shaul died, Baal-hanan son of Achbor reigned in his place.
50 When Baal-hanan died, Hadad reigned in his place.
Hadad’s city was named Pai, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel
daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-zahab.
51 Then Hadad died.

Descendientes de los hijos de Noé(B)
5 Los hijos de Jafet fueron Gomer, Magog, Maday, Javán, Tubal, Mesec y Tiras.
6 Los hijos de Gomer fueron Askenaz, Rifat y Togarmá.
7 Los hijos de Javán fueron Elisa, Tarsis, Quitín y Rodanín.
8 Los hijos de Cam fueron Cus, Misrayin, Fut y Canaán.
9 Los hijos de Cus fueron Sebá, Javilá, Sabta, Ragama y Sabteca.
Los hijos de Ragama fueron Sebá y Dedán.
10 Cus fue el padre de Nimrod, y éste llegó a ser poderoso en la tierra.
11 Misrayin fue el padre de Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naftuhim, 12 Patrusim y Casluhim. De éstos salieron los filisteos y los caftoreos.
13 Canaán fue el padre de Sidón, su primogénito, a Jet, 14 a los jebuseos, amorreos, gergeseos, 15 jivitas, araceos, sineos, 16 arvadeos, semareos y jamatitas.
17 Los hijos de Sem fueron Elam, Asur, Arfaxad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Jul, Geter y Mesec.
18 Arfaxad fue el padre de Sela, y Sela fue el padre de Éber.
19 Éber tuvo dos hijos. Uno de ellos se llamó Peleg, porque durante sus días se dividió la tierra. Su hermano se llamó Joctán.
20 Joctán fue el padre de Almodad, Selef, Jasar Mávet, Yera, 21 Hadorán, Uzal, Diclá, 22 Ebal, Abimael, Sebá, 23 Ofir, Javilá y Jobab. Todos ellos fueron hijos de Joctán.
Descendientes de Sem(C)
24 Sem, Arfaxad, Sela, 25 Éber, Peleg, Reu, 26 Serug, Najor, Téraj, 27 y Abrán, también llamado Abrahán.
Descendientes de Ismael y de Cetura(D)
28 Los hijos de Abrahán fueron Isaac e Ismael. 29 Éstos fueron sus descendientes: Nebayot, primogénito de Ismael; seguido de Cedar, Adbel, Mibsán, 30 Misma, Duma, Massa, Hadad, Tema, 31 Jetur, Nafís y Quedemá. Éstos fueron los hijos de Ismael.
32 Cetura, la concubina de Abrahán, dio a luz a Zimram, Jocsán, Medán, Madián, Isbac y Súaj.
Los hijos de Jocsán fueron Sebá y Dedán.
33 Los hijos de Madián fueron Efa, Efer, Janoc, Abidá y Eldá. Todos ellos fueron hijos de Cetura.

34 Abrahán fue el padre de Isaac.
Los hijos de Isaac fueron Esaú e Israel.
35 Los hijos de Esaú fueron Elifaz, Reuel, Jeús, Jalán y Coré.
36 Los hijos de Elifaz fueron Temán, Omar, Sefó, Gatán, Cenaz, Timna y Amalec.
37 Los hijos de Reuel fueron Najat, Zeraj, Samá y Miza.
38 Los hijos de Seir fueron Lotán, Sobal, Sibón, Aná, Disón, Eser y Disán.
39 Los hijos de Lotán fueron Jorí y Hemán. Timna fue hermana de Lotán.
40 Los hijos de Sobal fueron Alván, Manajat, Ebal, Sefo y Onam.
Los hijos de Sibón fueron Ayá y Aná.
41 Disón fue hijo de Aná.
Los hijos de Disón fueron Amirán, Esbán, Itrán y Querán.
42 Los hijos de Eser fueron Bilán, Zaván y Yacán.
Los hijos de Disán fueron Uz y Arán.
43 Éstos son los reyes que reinaron en la tierra de Edom, antes de que los hijos de Israel tuvieran un rey:
Bela hijo de Beor. El nombre de su ciudad fue Dinaba.
44 A la muerte de Bela reinó en su lugar Jobab hijo de Zeraj, de Bosra.
45 A la muerte de Jobab reinó en su lugar Jusán, de la tierra de los temanitas.
46 A la muerte de Jusán reinó en su lugar Hadad hijo de Bedad, que derrotó a Madián en el campo de Moab. El nombre de su ciudad fue Avit.
47 A la muerte de Hadad reinó en su lugar Samla de Masreca.
48 A la muerte de Samla reinó en su lugar Saúl de Rejobot, la ciudad que está junto al río Éufrates.
49 A la muerte de Saúl reinó en su lugar Baal Janán hijo de Acbor.
50 A la muerte de Baal Janán reinó en su lugar Hadad. El nombre de su ciudad fue Pay, y el nombre de su mujer fue Mehitabel hija de Matred, hija de Mezab.
51 A la muerte de Hadad, los jefes de Edom fueron Timna, Alva, Jetet, 52 Aholibama, Elá, Pinón, 53 Cenaz, Temán, Mibsar, 54 Magdiel e Iram. Éstos fueron los jefes de Edom.
