The Japhethites(K)
5 The sons[b] of Japheth:
Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshek and Tiras.
6 The sons of Gomer:
Ashkenaz, Riphath[c] and Togarmah.
7 The sons of Javan:
Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites and the Rodanites.
The Hamites(L)
8 The sons of Ham:
Cush, Egypt, Put and Canaan.
9 The sons of Cush:
Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raamah and Sabteka.
The sons of Raamah:
Sheba and Dedan.
10 Cush was the father[d] of
Nimrod, who became a mighty warrior on earth.
11 Egypt was the father of
the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, Naphtuhites, 12 Pathrusites, Kasluhites (from whom the Philistines came) and Caphtorites.
13 Canaan was the father of
Sidon his firstborn,[e] and of the Hittites, 14 Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites, 15 Hivites, Arkites, Sinites, 16 Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites.
The Semites(M)
17 The sons of Shem:
Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud and Aram.
The sons of Aram:[f]
Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshek.
18 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah,
and Shelah the father of Eber.
19 Two sons were born to Eber:
One was named Peleg,[g] because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.
20 Joktan was the father of
Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 21 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 22 Obal,[h] Abimael, Sheba, 23 Ophir, Havilah and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.
24 Shem,(N) Arphaxad,[i] Shelah,
25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,
26 Serug, Nahor, Terah
27 and Abram (that is, Abraham).
The Family of Abraham
28 The sons of Abraham:
Isaac and Ishmael.
Descendants of Hagar(O)
29 These were their descendants:
Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, 30 Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema, 31 Jetur, Naphish and Kedemah. These were the sons of Ishmael.
Descendants of Keturah(P)
32 The sons born to Keturah, Abraham’s concubine:(Q)
Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak and Shuah.
The sons of Jokshan:
Sheba and Dedan.(R)
33 The sons of Midian:
Ephah, Epher, Hanok, Abida and Eldaah.
All these were descendants of Keturah.
Descendants of Sarah(S)
Esau’s Sons
35 The sons of Esau:(W)
Eliphaz, Reuel,(X) Jeush, Jalam and Korah.
36 The sons of Eliphaz:
Teman, Omar, Zepho,[j] Gatam and Kenaz;
37 The sons of Reuel:(Z)
Nahath, Zerah, Shammah and Mizzah.
The People of Seir in Edom(AA)
38 The sons of Seir:
Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer and Dishan.
39 The sons of Lotan:
Hori and Homam. Timna was Lotan’s sister.
40 The sons of Shobal:
Alvan,[l] Manahath, Ebal, Shepho and Onam.
The sons of Zibeon:
Aiah and Anah.(AB)
41 The son of Anah:
Dishon.
The sons of Dishon:
Hemdan,[m] Eshban, Ithran and Keran.
42 The sons of Ezer:
Bilhan, Zaavan and Akan.[n]
The sons of Dishan[o]:
Uz and Aran.
The Rulers of Edom(AC)
43 These were the kings who reigned in Edom before any Israelite king reigned:
Bela son of Beor, whose city was named Dinhabah.
44 When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah succeeded him as king.
45 When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites(AD) succeeded him as king.
46 When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, succeeded him as king. His city was named Avith.
47 When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah succeeded him as king.
48 When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the river[p] succeeded him as king.
49 When Shaul died, Baal-Hanan son of Akbor succeeded him as king.
50 When Baal-Hanan died, Hadad succeeded him as king. His city was named Pau,[q] and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab. 51 Hadad also died.
The chiefs of Edom were:
Timna, Alvah, Jetheth, 52 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon, 53 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar, 54 Magdiel and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.

Descendientes de Adán hasta Abraham
1 Adán, Set, Enós, 2 Cainán, Mahalaleel, Jared, 3 Enoc, Matusalén, Lamec, 4 Noé[a], Sem, Cam y Jafet.
5 Los hijos de Jafet fueron: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javán, Tubal, Mesec y Tiras. 6 Los hijos de Gomer fueron: Asquenaz, Rifat[b] y Togarma. 7 Los hijos de Javán fueron: Elisa, Tarsis, Quitim y Rodanim.
8 Los hijos de Cam fueron: Cus, Mizraim, Fut y Canaán. 9 Los hijos de Cus fueron: Seba, Havila, Sabta, Raama y Sabteca. Los hijos de Raama fueron Seba y Dedán. 10 Cus engendró a Nimrod, quien comenzó a ser poderoso en la tierra. 11 Mizraim engendró a los ludeos, a los anameos, a los lehabitas, a los naftujitas, 12 a los patruseos, a los caslujitas (de los cuales salieron los filisteos) y a los caftoreos. 13 Canaán engendró a Sidón su primogénito y a Het, 14 al jebuseo, al amorreo, al gergeseo, 15 al heveo, al araqueo, al sineo, 16 al arvadeo, al zemareo y al hamateo.
17 Los hijos de Sem fueron: Elam, Asur, Arfaxad, Lud, Aram[c], Uz, Hul, Geter y Mesec[d]. 18 Arfaxad engendró a Sélaj, y Sélaj engendró a Heber. 19 A Heber le nacieron dos hijos: El nombre del primero fue Peleg[e], porque en sus días fue dividida la tierra. El nombre de su hermano fue Joctán. 20 Joctán engendró a Almodad, a Selef, a Hazar-mávet, a Jéraj, 21 a Adoram, a Uzal, a Dicla, 22 a Ebal, a Abimael, a Seba, 23 a Ofir, a Havila y a Jobab. Todos estos fueron hijos de Joctán.
24 Sem, Arfaxad, Sélaj, 25 Heber, Peleg, Reu, 26 Serug, Nacor, Taré 27 y Abram, el cual es Abraham.
Desde Abraham hasta los patriarcas
28 Los hijos de Abraham fueron Isaac e Ismael. 29 Estos son sus descendientes:
El primogénito de Ismael fue Nebayot. Después nacieron Quedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, 30 Misma, Duma, Masá, Hadad, Tema, 31 Jetur, Nafis y Quedema. Estos fueron los hijos de Ismael.
32 Los hijos que Quetura, concubina de Abraham, dio a luz fueron: Zimrán, Jocsán, Medán, Madián, Isbac y Súa. Los hijos de Jocsán fueron Seba y Dedán. 33 Los hijos de Madián fueron: Efa, Efer, Hanoc, Abida y Eldaa. Todos estos fueron hijos de Quetura.
34 Abraham engendró a Isaac. Los hijos de Isaac fueron Esaú e Israel.
35 Los hijos de Esaú fueron: Elifaz, Reuel, Jeús, Jalam y Coré. 36 Los hijos de Elifaz fueron: Temán, Omar, Zefo, Gatam, Quenaz, Timna y Amalec. 37 Los hijos de Reuel fueron: Najat, Zéraj, Sama y Miza.
38 Los hijos de Seír fueron: Lotán, Sobal, Zibeón, Aná, Disón, Ezer y Disán. 39 Los hijos de Lotán fueron Hori y Homam. Timna fue hermana de Lotán. 40 Los hijos de Sobal fueron: Alván[f], Manajat, Ebal, Sefo[g] y Onam. Los hijos de Zibeón fueron Ayías y Aná. 41 Disón fue hijo de Aná. Y los hijos de Disón fueron: Hamrán, Esbán, Itrán y Querán. 42 Los hijos de Ezer fueron: Bilhán, Zaaván y Acán[h]. Los hijos de Disán fueron Uz y Arán.
43 Estos fueron los reyes que reinaron en la tierra de Edom, antes que hubiera rey de los hijos de Israel:
Bela hijo de Beor. El nombre de su ciudad fue Dinaba.
44 Murió Bela, y reinó en su lugar Jobab hijo de Zéraj, de Bosra.
45 Murió Jobab, y reinó en su lugar Husam, de la tierra de los temanitas.
46 Murió Husam, y reinó en su lugar Hadad hijo de Bedad, el que derrotó a Madián en el campo de Moab. El nombre de su ciudad fue Avit.
47 Murió Hadad, y reinó en su lugar Samla, de Masreca.
48 Murió Samla, y reinó en su lugar Saúl, de Rejobot, que está junto al Río.
49 Murió Saúl, y reinó en su lugar Baal-janán hijo de Acbor.
50 Murió Baal-janán, y reinó en su lugar Hadad. El nombre de su ciudad fue Pau[i]. El nombre de su mujer fue Mehetabel, hija de Matred, hija de Mezaab. 51 Y murió Hadad.
Los jefes de Edom fueron: los jefes[j] Timna, Alva, Jetet, 52 Oholibama, Ela, Pinón, 53 Quenaz, Temán, Mibzar, 54 Magdiel e Iram. Estos fueron los jefes de Edom.
