5 (A)Los hijos de Jafet fueron Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javán, Tubal, Mesec y Tiras. 6 Los hijos de Gomer fueron Askenaz, Difat[a] y Togarmá. 7 Los hijos de Javán fueron Elisa, Tarsis, Quitim y Rodanim[b].
8 Los hijos de Cam fueron Cus, Mizrayim, Fut y Canaán. 9 Los hijos de Cus fueron Seba, Havila, Sabta, Raama y Sabteca; y los hijos de Raama fueron Seba y Dedán. 10 Y Cus engendró a Nimrod; este llegó a ser poderoso sobre la tierra. 11 (B)Y Mizrayim engendró al pueblo de Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Neftuhim, 12 Patrusim y Casluhim, de los cuales vinieron los filisteos[c], y Caftor.
13 Y Canaán engendró a Sidón su primogénito, y a Het, 14 y a los jebuseos, a los amorreos, a los gergeseos, 15 a los heveos, a los araceos, a los sineos, 16 a los arvadeos, a los zemareos y a los hamateos.
17 (C)Los hijos de Sem fueron Elam, Asur, Arfaxad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Hul, Geter y Mesec[d]. 18 Y Arfaxad engendró a Sela, y Sela engendró a Heber. 19 Y le nacieron dos hijos a Heber, el nombre de uno fue Peleg, porque en sus días fue repartida la tierra, y el nombre de su hermano era Joctán. 20 Y Joctán engendró a Almodad, a Selef, a Hazar-mavet, a Jera, 21 a Adoram, a Uzal, a Dicla, 22 a Ebal[e], a Abimael, a Seba, 23 a Ofir, a Havila y a Jobab; todos estos fueron los hijos de Joctán.

5 The sons[a] of Japheth:
Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshek and Tiras.
6 The sons of Gomer:
Ashkenaz, Riphath[b] and Togarmah.
7 The sons of Javan:
Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites and the Rodanites.
The Hamites(B)
8 The sons of Ham:
Cush, Egypt, Put and Canaan.
9 The sons of Cush:
Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raamah and Sabteka.
The sons of Raamah:
Sheba and Dedan.
10 Cush was the father[c] of
Nimrod, who became a mighty warrior on earth.
11 Egypt was the father of
the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, Naphtuhites, 12 Pathrusites, Kasluhites (from whom the Philistines came) and Caphtorites.
13 Canaan was the father of
Sidon his firstborn,[d] and of the Hittites, 14 Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites, 15 Hivites, Arkites, Sinites, 16 Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites.

17 The sons of Shem:
Elam, Ashur, Arphaxad, Lud and Aram.
The sons of Aram:[e]
Uz, Hul, Gether and Meshek.
18 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah,
and Shelah the father of Eber.
19 Two sons were born to Eber:
One was named Peleg,[f] because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.
20 Joktan was the father of
Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 21 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 22 Obal,[g] Abimael, Sheba, 23 Ophir, Havilah and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.
