²⁷ The Levite clans of the Gershonites were given:

⁸ East of the Jordan (on the other side from Jericho) they designated Bezer^(A) in the wilderness on the plateau in the tribe of Reuben, Ramoth in Gilead^(B) in the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan^(C) in the tribe of Manasseh.

¹⁰ and all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan—Sihon king of Heshbon,^(A) and Og king of Bashan,^(B) who reigned in Ashtaroth.^(C)

⁴³ The cities were these: Bezer in the wilderness plateau, for the Reubenites; Ramoth^(A) in Gilead, for the Gadites; and Golan in Bashan, for the Manassites.

⁴ This was after he had defeated Sihon^(A) king of the Amorites,^(B) who reigned in Heshbon,^(C) and at Edrei had defeated Og^(D) king of Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth.^(E)
