⁶² The descendants of Gershon, clan by clan, were allotted thirteen towns from the tribes of Issachar, Asher and Naphtali, and from the part of the tribe of Manasseh that is in Bashan.

²⁷ The Levite clans of the Gershonites were given:

²⁸ from the tribe of Issachar,^(C)

³⁰ from the tribe of Asher,^(H)

³² from the tribe of Naphtali,

³³ The total number of towns of the Gershonite^(N) clans came to thirteen, together with their pasturelands.

²² Zipporah gave birth to a son, and Moses named him Gershom,^[a](A) saying, “I have become a foreigner^(B) in a foreign land.”
