²⁶ So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of ^(A)Pul king of Assyria, that is, ^(B)Tiglath-Pileser^[a] king of Assyria. He carried the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh into captivity. He took them to ^(C)Halah, Habor, Hara, and the river of Gozan to this day.

^6 (A)In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria took Samaria and ^(B)carried Israel away to Assyria, ^(C)and placed them in Halah and by the Habor, the River of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

^19 (A)Pul^[a] king of Assyria came against the land; and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his ^[b]hand might be with him to ^(B)strengthen the kingdom under his control.

^11 (A)Then the king of Assyria carried Israel away captive to Assyria, and put them ^(B)in Halah and by the Habor, the River of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes,

⁶ and Beerah his son, whom ^[a]Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria ^(A)carried into captivity. He was leader of the Reubenites.

^11 (A)Therefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with ^[a]hooks, ^(B)bound him with ^[b]bronze fetters, and carried him off to Babylon.
