24 Moses gave an inheritance also to the tribe of Gad, to the people of Gad, according to their clans. 25 (A)Their territory was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites, to Aroer, which is east of (B)Rabbah, 26 and from Heshbon to Ramath-mizpeh and Betonim, and from (C)Mahanaim to the territory of Debir,[a] 27 and in the valley Beth-haram, Beth-nimrah, (D)Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, having the Jordan as a boundary, to the lower end of the Sea of (E)Chinnereth, eastward beyond the Jordan. 28 This is the inheritance of the people of Gad according to their clans, with their cities and villages.

(All that portion of Bashan is called the land of (K)Rephaim. 14 (L)Jair the Manassite took all the region of Argob, that is, Bashan, as far as the border of (M)the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called the villages (N)after his own name, Havvoth-jair, as it is to this day.) 15 To Machir (O)I gave Gilead, 16 and to the Reubenites (P)and the Gadites I gave the territory from Gilead as far as the Valley of the Arnon, with the middle of the valley as a border, as far over as the river Jabbok, (Q)the border of the Ammonites; 17 the Arabah also, with the Jordan as the border, from (R)Chinnereth as far as (S)the Sea of the Arabah, (T)the Salt Sea, under (U)the slopes of Pisgah on the east.
