⁹ Then the people rejoiced, for they had offered willingly, because with a loyal heart they had ^(A)offered willingly to the Lord; and King David also rejoiced greatly.

⁷ So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, ^(A)not grudgingly or of ^[a]necessity; for ^(B)God loves a cheerful giver. ^8 (C)And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.

³ For I bear witness that according to their ability, yes, and beyond their ability, they were freely willing,

⁶¹ Let your ^(A)heart therefore be ^[a]loyal to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and keep His commandments, as at this day.”

Philippian Generosity

¹⁰ But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last ^(A)your^[a] care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity.

¹¹ “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and ^(A)that your joy may be full.

¹⁷ I know also, my God, that You ^(A)test the heart and ^(B)have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things; and now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here to offer willingly to You.

Encouraged by Timothy

^6 (A)But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you always have good remembrance of us, greatly desiring to see us, ^(B)as we also to see you— ⁷ therefore, brethren, in all our affliction and distress ^(C)we were comforted concerning you by your faith. ⁸ For now we live, if you ^(D)stand fast in the Lord.

⁹ For what thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sake before our God,

Be Anxious for Nothing; Think These Thoughts

4 Therefore, my beloved and ^(A)longed-for brethren, ^(B)my joy and crown, so ^(C)stand fast in the Lord, beloved.
