Solomon Anointed King(A)

21 And they made sacrifices to the Lord and offered burnt offerings to the Lord on the next day: a thousand bulls, a thousand rams, a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and (B)sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.

(A)Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the Lord. King Solomon offered a sacrifice of twenty-two thousand bulls and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God. (B)And the priests attended to their services; the Levites also with instruments of the music of the Lord, which King David had made to praise the Lord, saying, “For His mercy endures forever,” whenever David offered praise by their [a]ministry. (C)The priests sounded trumpets opposite them, while all Israel stood.

Furthermore (D)Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that was in front of the house of the Lord; for there he offered burnt offerings and the fat of the peace offerings, because the bronze altar which Solomon had made was not able to receive the burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the fat.

(E)At that time Solomon kept the feast seven days, and all Israel with him, a very great assembly (F)from the entrance of Hamath to (G)the[b] Brook of Egypt. And on the eighth day they held a (H)sacred assembly, for they observed the dedication of the altar seven days, and the feast seven days.

Solomon Dedicates the Temple(A)

62 Then (B)the king and all Israel with him offered sacrifices before the Lord. 63 And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to the Lord, twenty-two thousand bulls and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the Lord. 64 On (C)the same day the king consecrated the middle of the court that was in front of the house of the Lord; for there he offered burnt offerings, grain offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings, because the (D)bronze altar that was before the Lord was too small to receive the burnt offerings, the grain offerings, and the fat of the peace offerings.

65 At that time Solomon held (E)a feast, and all Israel with him, a great assembly from (F)the entrance of Hamath to (G)the Brook of Egypt, before the Lord our God, (H)seven days and seven more days—fourteen days.
