⁶ Now He said to me, ‘It is ^(A)your son Solomon who shall build My house and My courts; for I have chosen him to be My son, and I will be his Father.

^13 (A)He shall build a house for My name, and I will ^(B)establish the throne of his kingdom forever. ^14 (C)I will be his Father, and he shall be ^(D)My son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the ^[a]blows of the sons of men.

⁶ but Christ as ^(A)a Son over His own house, ^(B)whose house we are ^(C)if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope ^[a]firm to the end.

^9 (A)Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him ^(B)rest from all his enemies all around. His name shall be ^[a]Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days. ^10 (C)He shall build a house for My name, and ^(D)he shall be My son, and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’

⁵ and again in this place: ^(A)“They shall not enter My rest.”

³ For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as ^(A)He who built the house has more honor than the house.

¹² Then speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, saying:

⁹ Now, O Lord God, let Your promise to David my father be established, ^(A)for You have made me king over a people like the ^(B)dust of the earth in multitude.

¹¹ And it shall be, when your days are ^(A)fulfilled, when you must ^[a]go to be with your fathers, that I will set up your ^(B)seed after you, who will be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom. ^12 (C)He shall build Me a house, and I will establish his throne forever. ^13 (D)I will be his Father, and he shall be My son; and I will not take My mercy away from him, ^(E)as I took it from him who was before you. ¹⁴ And ^(F)I will establish him in My house and in My kingdom forever; and his throne shall be established forever.” ’ ”
