²⁵ Over the king's treasuries was ^(A)Azmaveth the son of Adiel; and over the treasuries in the country, in the cities, in the villages, and in the towers, was Jonathan the son of Uzziah;

⁸ But there were ten men among them who said to Ishmael, “Do not put us to death, for we have ^(A)stores of wheat, barley, oil, and honey hidden in the fields.” So he refrained and did not put them to death with their companions.

¹⁰ And he built towers in the wilderness and ^(A)cut out many cisterns, for he had large herds, both in the Shephelah and in the plain, and he had farmers and vinedressers in the hills and in the fertile lands, for he loved the soil.

² Then Asa took silver and gold from the treasures of the house of the Lord and the king's house and sent them to Ben-hadad king of Syria, who lived in Damascus, saying,

¹¹ Therefore they set taskmasters over them ^(A)to afflict them with heavy ^(B)burdens. They built for Pharaoh ^(C)store cities, Pithom and ^(D)Raamses.

⁴⁸ and he gathered up all the food of these seven years, which occurred in the land of Egypt, and put the food in the cities. He put in every city the food from the fields around it.
