²⁵ For David said, “The Lord, the God of Israel, ^(A)has given rest to his people, and he dwells in Jerusalem forever.

¹⁸ “Is not the Lord your God with you? And ^(A)has he not given you peace^[a] on every side? For he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land is subdued before the Lord and his people.

^11 (A)from the time that I appointed judges over my people Israel. And ^(B)I will give you rest from all your enemies. Moreover, the Lord declares to you that ^(C)the Lord will make you a house.

³ Thus says the Lord: ^(A)I have returned to Zion and ^(B)will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, ^(C)and Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, ^(D)and the mountain of the Lord of hosts, the holy mountain.

7 ^(A)Now when the king lived in his house and the Lord ^(B)had given him rest from all his surrounding enemies,

⁹ For ^(A)in him the whole fullness of deity dwells ^(B)bodily,
