¹⁴ “I have taken great pains to provide for the temple of the Lord a hundred thousand talents^[a] of gold, a million talents^[b] of silver, quantities of bronze and iron too great to be weighed, and wood and stone. And you may add to them.^(A)

³ He provided a large amount of iron to make nails for the doors of the gateways and for the fittings, and more bronze than could be weighed.^(A)

² In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity.^(A)

²⁰ The bronze from the two pillars, the Sea and the twelve bronze bulls^(A) under it, and the movable stands, which King Solomon had made for the temple of the Lord, was more than could be weighed.^(B)

⁴ three thousand talents^[a] of gold (gold of Ophir)^(A) and seven thousand talents^[b] of refined silver,^(B) for the overlaying of the walls of the buildings, ⁵ for the gold work and the silver work, and for all the work to be done by the craftsmen. Now, who is willing to consecrate themselves to the Lord today?”

⁶ Then the leaders of families, the officers of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, and the officials^(C) in charge of the king’s work gave willingly.^{(D) 7} They^(E) gave toward the work on the temple of God five thousand talents^[c] and ten thousand darics^[d] of gold, ten thousand talents^[e] of silver, eighteen thousand talents^[f] of bronze and a hundred thousand talents^[g] of iron.
