¹⁴ With great pains I have provided for the house of the Lord ^(A)100,000 talents^[a] of gold, a million talents of silver, and ^(B)bronze and iron beyond weighing, for there is so much of it; timber and stone, too, I have provided. To these you must add.

³ David also provided great quantities of iron for nails for the doors of the gates and for clamps, ^(A)as well as bronze in quantities beyond weighing,

^4 (A)3,000 talents^[a] of gold, of the gold of ^(B)Ophir, and 7,000 talents of refined silver, for overlaying the walls of the house,^{[b] 5} and for all the work to be done by craftsmen, gold for the things of gold and silver for the things of silver. Who then will offer willingly, consecrating himself^[c] today to the Lord?”

⁶ Then ^(C)the leaders of fathers' houses made their freewill offerings, as did also the leaders of the tribes, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and ^(D)the officers over the king's work. ⁷ They gave for the service of the house of God 5,000 talents and 10,000 ^(E)darics^[d] of gold, 10,000 talents of silver, 18,000 talents of bronze and 100,000 talents of iron.

¹⁶ As for the two pillars, the one sea, and the stands that Solomon had made for the house of the Lord, ^(A)the bronze of all these vessels was beyond weight.

Solomon's Great Wealth

^14 (A)Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was 666 talents of gold,

² for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and ^(A)their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part.

²⁰ As for the two pillars, the one sea, ^(A)the twelve bronze bulls that were under the sea,^[a] and the stands, which Solomon the king had made for the house of the Lord, the bronze of all these things was beyond weight.
