¹³ Then you will prosper, if you are careful to observe the statutes and the ordinances that the Lord commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid or dismayed.^(A)

²⁰ David said further to his son Solomon, “Be strong and of good courage, and act. Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.^(A)

⁶ Be strong and courageous, for you shall lead this people to possess the land that I swore to their ancestors to give them. ⁷ Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to act in accordance with all the law that my servant Moses commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, so that you may be successful wherever you go.^{(A) 8} This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall be successful.^{(B) 9} I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”^(C)

⁷ I will establish his kingdom forever, if he continues resolute in keeping my commandments and my ordinances, as he is today.’^(A)

The Whole Armor of God

¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power;

³ and keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his ordinances, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, so that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn.^(A)

⁸ If you really fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well.^(A)

A Good Soldier of Christ Jesus

2 You then, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus,

² Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill^[a] the law of Christ.^(A)
