⁴ and Penuel was the father of Gedor, and Ezer was the father of Hushah.

These were the sons of ^(A)Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah the father of Bethlehem.

Wise Men from the East

2 Now after ^(A)Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, ^[a]wise men ^(B)from the East came to Jerusalem,

¹¹ And all the people who were at the gate, and the elders, said, “We are witnesses. ^(A)The Lord make the woman who is coming to your house like Rachel and Leah, the two who ^(B)built the house of Israel; and may you prosper in ^(C)Ephrathah and be famous in ^(D)Bethlehem.

⁴ Now behold, Boaz came from ^(A)Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, ^(B)“The Lord be with you!”

And they answered him, “The Lord bless you!”

¹⁹ Now the two of them went until they came to Bethlehem. And it happened, when they had come to Bethlehem, that ^(A)all the city was excited because of them; and the women said, ^(B)“Is this Naomi?”

¹⁹ So ^(A)Rachel died and was buried on the way to ^(B)Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem).
