Uzzah and the Ark

^5 (A)So David assembled all Israel ^(B)from the ^(C)Nile^[a] of Egypt to Lebo-hamath, to bring the ark of God ^(D)from Kiriath-jearim. ^6 (E)And David and all Israel went up to ^(F)Baalah, that is, to Kiriath-jearim that belongs to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the name of the Lord who ^(G)sits enthroned above the cherubim.

⁴ and ^(A)Penuel fathered ^(B)Gedor, and Ezer fathered Hushah. These were the sons of Hur, the firstborn of ^(C)Ephrathah, the father of Bethlehem.

⁵³ And the clans of Kiriath-jearim: the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; from these came the ^(A)Zorathites and the Eshtaolites.

¹⁹ When Azubah died, ^(A)Caleb married ^(B)Ephrath, who bore him ^(C)Hur. ²⁰ Hur fathered Uri, and Uri fathered ^(D)Bezalel.

7 And the men of Kiriath-jearim came and took up the ark of the Lord and brought it to the house of ^(A)Abinadab on the hill. And they consecrated his son Eleazar to have charge of the ark of the Lord.

^60 (A)Kiriath-baal (that is, Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah: two cities with their villages.

⁹ Then the boundary extends from the top of the mountain ^(A)to the spring of the waters of Nephtoah, and from there to the cities of Mount Ephron. Then the boundary bends around to Baalah (^(B)that is, Kiriath-jearim).
