^23 (A)(Geshur and Syria took from them the towns of Jair, with Kenath and its towns—sixty towns.) All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

³⁸ So Absalom fled and went to ^(A)Geshur, and was there three years.

³⁰ Their territory was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and ^(A)all the towns of Jair which are in Bashan, sixty cities;

⁴¹ Also ^(A)Jair the son of Manasseh went and took its small towns, and called them ^(B)Havoth Jair.^{[a] 42} Then Nobah went and took Kenath and its villages, and he called it Nobah, after his own name.
