⁶ Then David put garrisons in Syriadamascus; and the Syrians became David's servants, and brought gifts. Thus the Lord preserved David whithersoever he went.

³¹ The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the Lord.

⁸ The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
