^16 (A)and Zadok the son of Ahitub and ^(B)Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were priests; and ^(C)Shavsha was secretary;

¹⁷ and ^(A)Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were priests, and ^(B)Seraiah was secretary,

²⁵ and Sheva was secretary; and ^(A)Zadok and Abiathar were priests;

³ Elihoreph and Ahijah the sons of Shisha were secretaries; ^(A)Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;

⁶ And the scribe Shemaiah, the son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded them in the presence of the king and the princes and Zadok the priest and ^(A)Ahimelech the son of Abiathar and the heads of the fathers' houses of the priests and of the Levites, one father's house being chosen for Eleazar and one chosen for Ithamar.

^35 (A)The king put Benaiah the son of Jehoiada over the army in place of Joab, and the king put ^(B)Zadok the priest ^(C)in the place of Abiathar.
