¹⁸ Then King David went in and sat before the Lord; and he said: ^(B)“Who am I, O Lord God? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far?

¹⁰ I am not worthy of the least of all the ^(A)mercies and of all the truth which You have shown Your servant; for I crossed over this Jordan with ^(B)my staff, and now I have become two companies.

Purpose of the Mystery

⁸ To me, ^(A)who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles ^(B)the unsearchable riches of Christ,

²¹ And Saul answered and said, ^(A)“Am I not a Benjamite, of the ^(B)smallest of the tribes of Israel, and ^(C)my family the least of all the families of the ^[a]tribe of Benjamin? Why then do you speak like this to me?”

¹² Then Samuel ^(A)took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen, and called its name ^[a]Ebenezer, saying, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”
