⁵ So ^(A)David gathered all Israel together, from ^(B)Shihor in Egypt to as far as the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God ^(C)from Kirjath Jearim.

²¹ So they sent messengers to the inhabitants of ^(A)Kirjath Jearim, saying, “The Philistines have brought back the ark of the Lord; come down and take it up with you.”

Israel Defeats the Philistines

7 Then the men of ^(B)Kirjath Jearim came and took the ark of the Lord, and brought it into the house of ^(C)Abinadab on the hill, and ^(D)consecrated Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the Lord.

⁶⁵ At that time Solomon held ^(A)a feast, and all Israel with him, a great assembly from ^(B)the entrance of Hamath to ^(C)the Brook of Egypt, before the Lord our God, ^(D)seven days and seven more days—fourteen days.

The Ark Brought to Jerusalem^(A)

6 Again David gathered all the choice men of Israel, thirty thousand.

³ And David ^(A)gathered all Israel together at Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the Lord to its place, which he had prepared for it.

⁶ And David and all Israel went up to ^(A)Baalah,^[a] to Kirjath Jearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up from there the ark of God the Lord, ^(B)who dwells between the cherubim, where His name is proclaimed.

²¹ Then the king of Babylon struck them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. ^(A)Thus Judah was carried away captive from its own land.

²¹ So ^(A)Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from ^(B)the^[a] River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. ^(C)They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.

^3 (A)from Sihor, which is east of Egypt, as far as the border of Ekron northward (which is counted as Canaanite); the ^(B)five lords of the Philistines—the Gazites, the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also ^(C)the Avites; ⁴ from the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians ^(D)as far as Aphek, to the border of ^(E)the Amorites; ⁵ the land of ^(F)the ^[a]Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, ^(G)from Baal Gad below Mount Hermon as far as the entrance to Hamath; ⁶ all the inhabitants of the mountains from Lebanon as far as ^(H)the ^[b]Brook Misrephoth, and all the Sidonians—them ^(I)I will drive out from before the children of Israel; only ^(J)divide^[c] it by lot to Israel as an inheritance, as I have commanded you.
