¹⁷ And David said with longing, “Oh, that someone would give me a drink of water from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”

¹⁴ but ^(A)whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him ^(B)will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

¹⁰ Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the ^(A)gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you ^(B)living water.”

¹⁵ And David said with longing, “Oh, that someone would give me a drink of the water from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!” ¹⁶ So the three mighty men broke through the camp of the Philistines, drew water from the well of Bethlehem that was by the gate, and took it and brought it to David. Nevertheless he would not drink it, but poured it out to the Lord.
