⁴ Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

³² After Noah was five hundred years old, Noah became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.^(A)

Noah and His Sons

¹⁸ The sons of Noah who went out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham was the father of Canaan.^(A)

⁵ and if he did not spare the ancient world, even though he saved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood on the world of the ungodly;^(A)

⁷ By faith Noah, warned by God about events as yet unseen, respected the warning and built an ark to save his household; by this he condemned the world and became an heir to the righteousness that is in accordance with faith.^(A)

²⁶ Just as it was in the days of Noah, so, too, it will be in the days of the Son of Man.^(A)

³⁶ son of Cainan, son of Arphaxad, son of Shem, son of Noah, son of Lamech,^(A)

³⁷ For as the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.^{(A) 38} For as in the days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark,

¹⁴ even if Noah, Daniel,^[a] and Job, these three, were in it, they would save only their own lives by their righteousness, says the Lord God.^(A)
