¹⁹ To Eber were born two sons: the name of one was ^[a]Peleg, for in his days the ^[b]earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.

²¹ And children were born also to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, ^[a]the brother of Japheth the elder.

^16 (A)Eber lived thirty-four years, and begot ^(B)Peleg. ¹⁷ After he begot Peleg, Eber lived four hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.
