5 В действительности говорят, что среди вас есть случай такого распутства, какого не знают даже язычники, а именно, что один из вас живет со своей мачехой[a]. 2 А вы возгордились! Не следует ли вам вместо этого опечалиться и исключить из вашего общения человека, который сделал такое дело? 3 Хотя я и не присутствую с вами телесно, но духом я с вами, и уже решил, как вы должны поступить с этим человеком: 4 когда соберетесь вместе во имя нашего Господа Иисуса, а я буду духом с вами, и с нами будет сила Господа нашего Иисуса, 5 вы должны предать этого человека сатане, чтобы его тело было сокрушено ради спасения его духа в День Господа[b].
6 Вам нечем хвалиться. Разве вы не знаете, что малое количество дрожжей может заквасить все тесто? 7 Избавьтесь от старой закваски, чтобы вам быть новым, пресным тестом, каковым вы и должны быть. Ведь Христос, наш пасхальный Ягненок, уже принесен в жертву. 8 Поэтому давайте будем праздновать не со старой закваской порочности и зла, а с пресным хлебом чистоты и истины.
9 Я просил вас в моем предыдущем послании[c] не общаться с развратниками, 10 но при этом я не имел в виду вообще всех развратников этого мира, или корыстолюбцев, или мошенников, или идолопоклонников. Если бы речь шла о них, то вам вообще надо было бы покинуть этот мир. 11 Я пишу вам о том, чтобы вы не общались с теми, кто называет себя братом, а на самом деле является развратником, корыстолюбцем, идолопоклонником или же клеветником, пьяницей или мошенником. С таким человеком даже не ешьте вместе.
12 Судить тех, кто вне церкви, не мое дело – вы судите тех, кто в церкви. 13 Тех же, кто вне церкви, будет судить Бог. Как написано: «Удали злого из твоей среды»[d].

Un caso de inmoralidad juzgado
5 De cierto se oye que hay entre vosotros fornicación, y tal fornicación cual ni aun se nombra entre los gentiles; tanto que alguno tiene la mujer de su padre.(A) 2 Y vosotros estáis envanecidos. ¿No debierais más bien haberos lamentado, para que fuese quitado de en medio de vosotros el que cometió tal acción?
3 Ciertamente yo, como ausente en cuerpo, pero presente en espíritu, ya como presente he juzgado al que tal cosa ha hecho. 4 En el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, reunidos vosotros y mi espíritu, con el poder de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, 5 el tal sea entregado a Satanás para destrucción de la carne, a fin de que el espíritu sea salvo en el día del Señor Jesús.
6 No es buena vuestra jactancia. ¿No sabéis que un poco de levadura leuda toda la masa?(B) 7 Limpiaos, pues, de la vieja levadura, para que seáis nueva masa, sin levadura como sois; porque nuestra pascua,(C) que es Cristo, ya fue sacrificada por nosotros. 8 Así que celebremos la fiesta, no con la vieja levadura, ni con la levadura de malicia y de maldad, sino con panes sin levadura,(D) de sinceridad y de verdad.
9 Os he escrito por carta, que no os juntéis con los fornicarios; 10 no absolutamente con los fornicarios de este mundo, o con los avaros, o con los ladrones, o con los idólatras; pues en tal caso os sería necesario salir del mundo. 11 Más bien os escribí que no os juntéis con ninguno que, llamándose hermano, fuere fornicario, o avaro, o idólatra, o maldiciente, o borracho, o ladrón; con el tal ni aun comáis. 12 Porque ¿qué razón tendría yo para juzgar a los que están fuera? ¿No juzgáis vosotros a los que están dentro? 13 Porque a los que están fuera, Dios juzgará. Quitad, pues, a ese perverso de entre vosotros.

Dealing With a Case of Incest
5 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man is sleeping with his father’s wife.(A) 2 And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have gone into mourning(B) and have put out of your fellowship(C) the man who has been doing this? 3 For my part, even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit.(D) As one who is present with you in this way, I have already passed judgment in the name of our Lord Jesus(E) on the one who has been doing this. 4 So when you are assembled and I am with you in spirit, and the power of our Lord Jesus is present, 5 hand this man over(F) to Satan(G) for the destruction of the flesh,[a][b] so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.(H)
6 Your boasting is not good.(I) Don’t you know that a little yeast(J) leavens the whole batch of dough?(K) 7 Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.(L) 8 Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread(M) of sincerity and truth.
9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate(N) with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the people of this world(O) who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister[c](P) but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater(Q) or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.(R)
12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside(S) the church? Are you not to judge those inside?(T) 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”[d](U)
