¹³ In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate^(A) made the good confession,^(B) I charge you^{(C) 14} to keep this command without spot or blame^(D) until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,^{(E) 15} which God will bring about in his own time^(F)—God, the blessed^(G) and only Ruler,^(H) the King of kings and Lord of lords,^{(I) 16} who alone is immortal^(J) and who lives in unapproachable light,^(K) whom no one has seen or can see.^(L) To him be honor and might forever. ⁸ Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead,^(A) descended from David.^(B) This is my gospel,^{(C) 9} for which I am suffering^(D) even to the point of being chained^(E) like a criminal. ¹⁴ They will wage war^(A) against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over^(B) them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings^(C)—and with him will be his called, chosen^(D) and faithful followers.”
