^13 (A)I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, ^(B)who in his testimony before^[a] Pontius Pilate made ^(C)the good confession, ¹⁴ to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until ^(D)the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁵ which he will display ^(E)at the proper time—he who is ^(F)the blessed and only Sovereign, ^(G)the King of kings and Lord of lords, ^16 (H)who alone has immortality, ^(I)who dwells in ^(J)unapproachable light, ^(K)whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

⁸ Remember Jesus Christ, ^(A)risen from the dead, the ^(B)offspring of David, ^(C)as preached in my gospel, ^9 (D)for which I am suffering, ^(E)bound with chains as a criminal. But ^(F)the word of God is not bound! ¹⁰ Therefore ^(G)I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain ^(H)the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with ^(I)eternal glory.

¹⁴ They ^(A)will make war on the Lamb, and ^(B)the Lamb will conquer them, for he is ^(C)Lord of lords and ^(D)King of kings, and those with him are ^(E)called and chosen and faithful.”
