But since we belong to the day,(A) let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate,(B) and the hope of salvation(C) as a helmet.(D) For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath(E) but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.(F) 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.(G) 11 Therefore encourage one another(H) and build each other up,(I) just as in fact you are doing.

Final Instructions

12 Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard(J) among you, who care for you in the Lord(K) and who admonish you. 13 Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other.(L) 14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle(M) and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak,(N) be patient with everyone.

12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
