1 Corinthians 2:9-11

New Living Translation

⁹That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him.”^[a]

¹⁰But^[b] it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. ¹¹No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit.

the things God has prepared for those who love him—^(A)

¹⁰these are the things God has revealed^(B) to us by his Spirit.^(C)

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. ¹¹For who knows a person’s thoughts^(D) except their own spirit^(E) within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
