8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.(A) 9 Those who want to get rich(B) fall into temptation and a trap(C) and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money(D) is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith(E) and pierced themselves with many griefs.(F)
