8 But if someone does not provide for his own relatives, and especially the members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
9 Let a widow be put on the list if she[a] is not less than sixty years old, the wife of one husband, 10 being well-attested by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has shown hospitality, if she has washed the feet of the saints, if she has helped those who are oppressed, if she has devoted herself to every good work.

8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied(A) the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
9 No widow may be put on the list of widows unless she is over sixty, has been faithful to her husband, 10 and is well known for her good deeds,(B) such as bringing up children, showing hospitality,(C) washing the feet(D) of the Lord’s people, helping those in trouble(E) and devoting herself to all kinds of good deeds.
