10 And let these also first be proved; then let them minister, if they are blameless.
11 The wives likewise are to be honest, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.
12 Let the deacons be the husbands of only one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

10 They must first be tested;(A) and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.
11 In the same way, the women[a] are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers(B) but temperate(C) and trustworthy in everything.
12 A deacon must be faithful to his wife(D) and must manage his children and his household well.(E)
