1 Timothy 2:8-15

⁸I desire then that ^(A)in every place the men should pray, ^(B)lifting ^(C)holy hands without anger or quarreling; ⁹likewise also ^(D)that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, ¹⁰^(E)but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works. ¹¹Let a woman learn quietly ^(F)with all submissiveness. ¹²^(G)I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. ¹³^(H)For Adam was formed first, ^(I)then Eve; ¹⁴and Adam was not deceived, but ^(J)the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. ¹⁵Yet she will be saved through ^(K)childbearing—if they continue in ^(L)faith and love and holiness, with self-control.

¹⁰只要有善行，這才與自稱是敬神的女人相宜。

¹¹女人要沉靜學道，一味的順服。

¹²我不許女人講道，也不許他轄管男人，只要沉靜。

¹³因為先造的是亞當，後造的是夏娃；

¹⁴且不是亞當被引誘，乃是女人被引誘，陷在罪裡。

¹⁵然而，女人若常存信心、愛心，又聖潔自守，就必在生產上得救。

⁸Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands^(A) without anger or disputing. ⁹I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes,^(B) ¹⁰but with good deeds,^(C) appropriate for women who profess to worship God.

¹¹A woman^[a] should learn in quietness and full submission.^(D) ¹²I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man;^[b] she must be quiet.^(E) ¹³For Adam was formed first, then Eve.^(F) ¹⁴And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.^(G) ¹⁵But women^[c] will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love^(H) and holiness with propriety.
