1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
Disciples’ Literal New Testament
15 For we say this to you by the word of the Lord, that we— the ones living, the ones remaining[a] until the coming of the Lord— will in-no-way precede the ones having fallen asleep. 16 Because[b] the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shouted-command[c], with a voice of an archangel[d], and with a trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise-up first. 17 Then we— the ones living, the ones remaining— will be snatched-up[e] together[f] with them in the clouds[g] to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall always be with the Lord.

New International Version
15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord,(A) will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.(B) 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven,(C) with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel(D) and with the trumpet call of God,(E) and the dead in Christ will rise first.(F) 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left(G) will be caught up together with them in the clouds(H) to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord(I) forever.
