12 and may the Lord (A)make you increase and abound in love (B)for one another and for all, as we do for you, 13 so that he may (C)establish your hearts blameless in holiness before (D)our God and Father, at (E)the coming of our Lord Jesus (F)with all his saints.
A Life Pleasing to God
4 Finally, then, brothers,[a] we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you (G)received from us (H)how you ought to walk and (I)to please God, just as you are doing, that you (J)do so more and more. 2 For (K)you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus. 3 For this is the will of God, (L)your sanctification:[b] (M)that you abstain from sexual immorality; 4 that each one of you know how to control his own (N)body[c] in holiness and (O)honor, 5 not in (P)the passion of lust (Q)like the Gentiles (R)who do not know God;

12 May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other(A) and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. 13 May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless(B) and holy in the presence of our God and Father(C) when our Lord Jesus comes(D) with all his holy ones.(E)
Living to Please God
4 As for other matters, brothers and sisters,(F) we instructed you how to live(G) in order to please God,(H) as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. 2 For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.
3 It is God’s will(I) that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;(J) 4 that each of you should learn to control your own body[a](K) in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust(L) like the pagans,(M) who do not know God;(N)

13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, (A)that you may not grieve as others do (B)who have no hope. 14 For (C)since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him (D)those who have fallen asleep.
