6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for in spite of persecution you received the word with joy inspired by the Holy Spirit, 7 so that you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia. 8 For the word of the Lord has sounded forth from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place where your faith in God has become known, so that we have no need to speak about it.

6 You became imitators of us(A) and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering(B) with the joy(C) given by the Holy Spirit.(D) 7 And so you became a model(E) to all the believers in Macedonia(F) and Achaia.(G) 8 The Lord’s message(H) rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere.(I) Therefore we do not need to say anything about it,

7 So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.
8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.
