²⁵ When they came down from the high place into the city, ^[a]Samuel spoke with Saul ^(A)on the roof.

² Now at evening time David got up from his bed and walked around on ^(A)the roof of the king’s house, and from the roof he saw a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful in appearance.

^27 (A)What I tell you in the darkness, tell in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim ^(B)on the housetops.

¹⁹ But when they did not find any way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on ^(A)the roof and let him down ^(B)through the tiles with his stretcher, into the middle of the crowd, in front of Jesus.

³ Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have ^[a]whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on ^(A)the housetops.
