¹¹ And he said, “^(A)This will be the ^[a]custom of the king who will reign over you: ^(B)he will take your sons and appoint them for himself in his chariots and among his horsemen, and ^(C)they will run before his chariots.

¹⁷ And ^(A)the king said to the ^[a]guards who were standing by him, “Turn around and put the priests of Yahweh to death because their hand also is with David and because they knew that he was fleeing and did not reveal it in my ears.” But the ^(B)servants of the king were not willing to send forth their hands to fall upon the priests of Yahweh.
