1 Samuel 6:4-6
New American Standard Bible 1995
4 Then they said, “What shall be the guilt offering which we shall return to Him?” And they said, “Five golden (A)tumors and five golden mice (B)according to the number of the lords of the Philistines, for one plague was on all of [a]you and on your lords. 5 So you shall make likenesses of your tumors and likenesses of your mice that ravage the land, and (C)you shall give glory to the God of Israel; perhaps (D)He will ease His hand from you, (E)your gods, and your land. 6 Why then do you harden your hearts (F)as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? When He had severely dealt with them, (G)did they not allow [b]the people to go, and they departed?

New International Version
4 The Philistines asked, “What guilt offering should we send to him?”
They replied, “Five gold tumors and five gold rats, according to the number(A) of the Philistine rulers, because the same plague(B) has struck both you and your rulers. 5 Make models of the tumors(C) and of the rats that are destroying the country, and give glory(D) to Israel’s god. Perhaps he will lift his hand from you and your gods and your land. 6 Why do you harden(E) your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh did? When Israel’s god dealt harshly with them,(F) did they(G) not send the Israelites out so they could go on their way?
