12 “‘Go now to the place in Shiloh(A) where I first made a dwelling(B) for my Name,(C) and see what I did(D) to it because of the wickedness of my people Israel. 13 While you were doing all these things, declares the Lord, I spoke(E) to you again and again,(F) but you did not listen;(G) I called(H) you, but you did not answer.(I) 14 Therefore, what I did to Shiloh(J) I will now do to the house that bears my Name,(K) the temple(L) you trust in, the place I gave to you and your ancestors.

then I will make this house like Shiloh(A) and this city a curse[a](B) among all the nations of the earth.’”

The priests, the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speak these words in the house of the Lord. But as soon as Jeremiah finished telling all the people everything the Lord had commanded(C) him to say, the priests, the prophets and all the people seized(D) him and said, “You must die!(E) Why do you prophesy in the Lord’s name that this house will be like Shiloh and this city will be desolate and deserted?”(F) And all the people crowded(G) around Jeremiah in the house of the Lord.
