1 Samuel 3:16-18

16 Then Eli called Samuel and said, “Samuel, my son!” And he said, “Here I am.” 17 And he said, “What is the message[a] that he spoke to you? Please do not conceal it from me. May God punish you severely[b] if you conceal anything from me of all the words that he told you.” 18 So Samuel told him all the words and did not conceal anything from him. And he[c] said, “He is Yahweh, he will do what is[d] good in his sight.”[e]

New International Version
16 but Eli called him and said, “Samuel, my son.”
Samuel answered, “Here I am.”
17 “What was it he said to you?” Eli asked. “Do not hide(A) it from me. May God deal with you, be it ever so severely,(B) if you hide from me anything he told you.” 18 So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said, “He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes.”(C)
