I am less important than a dead dog or a little fly! 15 The Lord will be the judge to decide who is right. I pray that he will see that I am not guilty. I pray that he will save me from your power.’

13 As the old saying goes, ‘From evildoers come evil deeds,(A)’ so my hand will not touch you.
14 “Against whom has the king of Israel come out? Who are you pursuing? A dead dog?(B) A flea?(C) 15 May the Lord be our judge(D) and decide(E) between us. May he consider my cause and uphold(F) it; may he vindicate(G) me by delivering(H) me from your hand.”
